Judi Dench has declared her love for a new man – pop star Ed Sheeran. The Shape Of You singer bears an uncanny resemblance to Dame Judi’s flame-haired grandson Sam – and made his day by sending the youngster a kind message.
Dame Judi, 82, was in London’s Covent Garden with Sam, 19, when they were stopped by a passer-by who asked for a photo.
She happily agreed – only to be told that the fan actually wanted a snap of Sam, who he wrongly believed was Sheeran.

When Ed heard the story through a showbiz agent, he obtained Sam’s mobile number and sent him a text saying: ‘I hear I look a lot like you.’
‘I lost my heart to Ed over that,’ Judi declared in The Lady.
