Girl says ‘no’ when asked if she’s a Craig David fan

A 10-year-old girl had BBC Breakfast presenters in stitches when they asked her if she was a Craig David fan after she met the pop star – to which she brutally replied: ‘No.’

The youngster, called Hannah, was on the show with her mother Michelle to discuss teaching children about first aid training after she saved her life.

She put her mother in the recovery position at their home in Manchester after she collapsed when she was given co codamol.

Hannah was ready to discuss her brave actions but was asked whether she got the chance to meet British singer songwriter Craig David, who was also on the show.

Presenter Charlie Stayt asked her if she was a ‘big fan’ of the 7 Days singer but she immediately said she wasn’t keen on his music.

Her hilarious response caused presents Stayt, 55, and Naga Munchety, 42, to burst into laughter.

Fans of the show could not contain their excitement after hearing her response and took to social media to highlight the ‘brilliant’ moment today.

Her reply came after the musician had been discussing how his lyrics and songs were able to connect with a young audience.

Hannah was asked by Mr Stayt: ‘Did you just get to meet Craig David?’

She replied: ‘Yeah.’ He asked: ‘Are you a big fan?’ But she quickly replied: ‘No.’ Mr Stayt was in hysterics and said: ‘That’s better still.’

One viewer wrote on Twitter: ‘@BBCBreakfast when @CraigDavid gets burned by a teenage girl guest! Asked are you a big fan? #No #honest.’

Another fan joked: ‘Brilliant Craig David moment on BBC Breakfast. He’s really connecting with the younger generation.’

The Southampton-born artist is yet to respond after BBC Breakfast viewers made him aware of the youngster’s comment.

And just moments after the hilarious exchange they all got back to discussing why Hannah and her mother were on the show.

Her mother told revealed that she started to feel faint and collapsed after she was given co codamol instead of paracetamol to treat a headache.

She fell to the floor at their home and Hannah quickly stepped in.

Hannah told the presenters: ‘At first I panicked but I just thought of my first aid training.

‘I put her into the recovery position and called 999. They asked me where I lived in Manchester and I put the phone on to my mum. They were just saying be calm until they come.

‘I learned how to put someone in the recovery position and to do everything if someone is unconscious but still breathing.’
