A six year old girl has suffered serious facial injuries at the hands of her family’s dog.
The little girl from Tarneit, west of Melbourne, is currently in hospital after being mauled by her German Shepherd at her home.
It is alleged she escaped into her backyard through an open window, where she was attacked by the dog, which was one of a handful of dogs in the yard at the time.
A six year old girl has suffered serious facial injuries at the hands of her family’s German Shepherd
Neighbours reportedly told Yahoo7 they have had issues with the dog in the past.
“Once, they come inside my house, I report to the council,” a neighbour said.
Rangers have removed the offending dog and it’s pup from the property.
The girl is currently at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in a serious condition.
