Good Morning America host Lara Spencer has started the new year with a bang after getting engaged to her millionaire boyfriend Rick McVey.
A spokesperson for the 48-year-old confirmed the happy news on Friday, but gave little details about the proposal.
Lara and Rick have been dating for nearly two years, after being set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. They initially kept their relationship under wraps, but went public after being spotted out on a date in New York City in January last year.

The couple were seen looking incredibly cozy together while enjoying a dinner at trendy restaurant Lure and since then Lara has happily shared several images of herself and her beau on social media, including a sweet snap from a recent romantic trip to Paris.
The GMA host began dating the millionaire financier nearly two years after divorcing David Haffenreffer after 15 years of marriage.
Lara and Haffenreffer, a former CNN reporter, have two teenage children, 13-year-old daughter Kate and 16-year-old son Duff.

But the former couple still seem to be on great terms, with Lara posting this sweet picture of Haffenreffer and their two teenage children on his 50th birthday last week
And the family still seem plenty happy in each other’s company, with Lara recently posting a picture on Instagram to celebrate David’s 50th birthday.
The photo showed Haffenreffer smiling in front of a cake with their two children.
‘Happy Happy big 5-0 to the best dad our kids could ever ask for,’ Lara’s sweet caption read.
But Lara has also been posting recent vacation snaps with her new beau, taking a trip last month to Paris with McVey.
The couple snapped a selfie at the Eiffel Tower and posed with the ‘best bartender in the world’ at the famous Hemingway Bar in the Hôtel Ritz Paris.
Lara was first spotted out getting very affectionate with McVey in January during a dinner date at Lure Fishbar in New York City’s Soho neighborhood.
Both appeared to be enthralled with one another as they could be seen in close conversation throughout the meal, and frequently breaking out in laughter.
The couple also took some time for a few makeout sessions between their sips of wine and bites food at the seafood eatery.

After they had finished their meal they spent a few minutes outside the establishment before walking off into the night holding hands.
McVey has been the Chairman and CEO of online bond trading company, Marketaxess Holdings Inc. since he founded the firm in April 2000.
He took home $13.7 million last year in bonuses and pay and previously served as the managing director of multinational JPMorgan.
Lara isn’t the only GMA host currently enjoying a summer vacation.
Her co-host Amy Robach recently posted pictures of a hike she took at the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming with her husband Andrew Shue.
Amy, 44, posted a slew of pictures from the kids-free holiday with Shue, 50, who formerly starred on Melrose Place.
The couple have also visited Badlands National Park, crossed off a bucket list item at Mount Rushmore, and visited the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
