The trailer begins with a seismometer measuring earthquake waves and increasingly the metrics start going off the charts.

As a groundbreaking earthquake intensifies underneath the pyramids in Egypt, Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews narrates a foreshadowing thought.

‘For most of human civilization, we believed that life could only exist on the surface of our planet. What else were we wrong about?’

The scene then cuts to the Hollow Earth where monsters are roaming freely underneath the planet’s surface.

The scientist is joined by franchise newcomer Dan Stevens playing the role of Stephen Randa in following and observing Kong in his natural habitat.

‘This world has more secrets than we could possibly imagine,’ she narrates.

Kong encounters a larger version of himself coming out of the fog but the monster reveals itself to be a much smaller and almost adorable version of the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Then, the two scientists come across a massive bloody handprint in the wilderness like nothing they’ve ever seen before.

‘That’s not Kong,’ Andrews utters as she tries to hide the look of fear on her face.

Kong is then seen falling into a crater even deeper than the Hollow Earth and coming across a majestic sight of neon crystals but also the skulls of his own fallen.

It is revealed that deep inside the land lives a tribe of giant apes like Kong himself being led by a menacing, gargantuan monster.

Henry as the character Bernie Hayes also finds Hottle as Jia — who has now become a member of a tribute of humans living somewhere else in the mystical land.

‘Kong can’t stop this on his own,’ the voice of Randa is heard saying defeatedly.

‘He won’t be alone,’ Andrew declares in an audio clip playing as a never-before-seen Godzilla with magenta spikes emerges from hibernation after hiding beneath a frozen tundra.

As danger looms in the Hollow Earth and also above the surface in metropolitan cities, the hot pink Godzilla wakes up and joins Kong in battle to defeat the boss monster.
