Gogglebox Australia stars Angie Kent and Yvie Jones have shared touching tributes to Di Kershaw following her death at age 76.

The TV stars paid tribute to their former co-star on Nova’s Two Girls One Pod podcast.

‘We just wanted to send our big, big love. We found out this morning that Di from Gogglebox has passed away very suddenly. And obviously we were a part of the Gogglebox family for four years,’ Angie began.

‘So we just want to send all our love to her family, Mick, her children, everybody. It’s very sad.’

Yvie continued: ‘It’s really sad. It was a very, as it was to everyone in Australia, a big shock. She’s a very loved woman and she had such a place on that show.’

‘And, you know, she was a lot of people’s favourites because of her exorbitant wit and her ability to tell it how it is no matter what.’

Di, a former model-turned-Indigenous art dealer, had been on the Channel 10-Foxtel show with her husband Mick since its first season in 2015

Angie went on to describe Di as an ‘icon’ and said she had ‘such a big presence’.

‘She was an icon. There’s not much space for older women on television. And she had such a big presence. She just said whatever came to her mind and sometimes it was a little bit hard to hear,’ she said.

‘I loved her for it because she didn’t care. And I love it when women don’t care. And they can say what they want. So go off queen.’

She is survived by Mick, their adult children Victoria and Alex, and young grandson Harvey.

Doctors reportedly discovered a tumour in her throat several months ago and it was found to be inoperable.

A friend of the Kershaw’s said Di chose not to tell anyone about her declining health.

Di was known for her dry sense of humour on Gogglebox, and would often come out with a severe slap down while reacting to dating shows.

She famously did not think much of fellow couch critic Angie Kent embarking on a reality TV career.

‘She was on Gogglebox, then went to the jungle, then she became the Bachelorette, and now she’s a dancing star… Spare me. She’s no dancer, that’s for sure,’ she once said.
