Gogglebox fan favourites the Malones share their heartbreak as their beloved family dog Dave dies

Gogglebox’s Malone family have shared their devastation that their beloved dog Dave has died.

The adorable pooch was known to millions of viewers as he regularly appeared on the Channel 4 show alongside the Malones – Tom Sr, Julie, Shaun and Tom Jr.

The family took to Instagram on Wednesday to share their heartbreak as they confirmed the upsetting news.

Taking to Instagram, they posted a sweet video of the Rottweiler standing on their driveway waiting for Tom Sr to return home alongside a heartfelt caption.

The family gushed over how much their beloved dog Dave meant to them and confessed that they would miss him ‘so much’.

They wrote: ‘RIP Dave xxx There are no words to describe you, or how much you meant to us.

‘This was you on Sunday waiting for your Dad to come back and he had only gone out to the car x We are all going to miss you so much.’

Their fellow Gogglebox star Izzi Warner – who appears on the show with her sister Ellie – took to the comments section to share her condolences with the family.

She said: ‘Awww rest in peace Dave, sending you all lots of love xx.’

The sad news comes just months after the beloved dog left Gogglebox viewers in stitches in April when he unexpectedly jumped on screen.

Energetic Dave caused chaos on screen when he jumped up into the frame to get involved when Tom Sr began to whistle, grabbing the dog’s attention.

Pouncing on to the chair, the hilarious moment saw Dave knock Tom off of his chair completely – leaving the lorry driver on his back with his legs in the air.
