Gogglebox star Ellie Warner reveals her hair salon in Leeds has been robbed in ‘bizarre’ burglary as she pleads for help from her followers

Gogglebox star Ellie Warner has revealed her hair salon in Leeds has been robbed, as she pleaded for help from her followers to find the culprit.

The reality star and hairdresser shared a pair of Instagram snaps that showed CCTV footage of the thief breaking into the salon on Tuesday morning.

Describing the burglary as ‘bizarre,’ Ellie explained that the thief didn’t steal any high-value items from the salon, and instead took hairdressing equipment that had mostly been purchased second hand.

Ellie captioned her post: ‘He broke in to our salon in Leeds city centre at 4am on Tuesday morning.

‘He spent 40 minutes to enter the salon and stole the most random things.

‘He took a few peoples kit bags which contain hairdressing equipment which second hand is not worth much but expensive to replace individually and some things of sentimental value!’

‘The damage he has caused to the building is more than the value of the items he’s taken, it was the most bizarre burglary!’

MailOnline has contacted a representative for West Yorkshire Police for comment. 

In March, Ellie revealed she had returned to her job as a hairdresser for the first time since giving birth to her son Ezra in May 2023.

Tagging her other business account, she captioned the post: ‘@elliewarnerhair first day back.’

Ellie, who has appeared on the show for eight years, appeared over the moon to be back at working at Tint in Leeds, as she was captured wearing an apron and sporting a cropped white jacket.

Flaunting a cheerful smile, she ensured to have the necessary goodies for the day ahead as a cup of coffee and a Ribena drink were perched on her table.

The Gogglebox favourite – who often appeared on the show alongside her sister Izzy – has been a professional hairdresser since 2009, making a name more recently as she specialised as colourist.

In March, Ellie revealed she had returned to her job as a hairdresser for the first time since giving birth to her son Ezra in June 2023

Ellie was shocked when the tiny one, whom she welcomed with boyfriend Nat Eddleston, pooed on her during the opening scene.

Alongside her sister Izzi, 27, the hairdresser had Ezra rested on her knee when things took a smelly turn for the worst.

Izzie commented: ‘I heard it gurgle up,’ prompting a horrified Ellie to admit: ‘Yeah, he’s definitely pooing.’

As baby Ezra could be heard passing wind, his amused mum and auntie couldn’t help but gasp and laugh it off.

They then asked the little one: ‘Is that funny?’ Before adding: ‘Does that feel nice?’

Ellie announced that she had given birth to her first child with boyfriend Nat in June when she handed the little one to her sister Izzi for a cuddle on the show.
