Last year, the armchair critic revealed Gogglebox has reminded her of why she fell in love with her husband, Giles, as filming together provided bonding time.
She said to The Daily Star: ‘Giles and I were like ships that pass in the night. I got up early. He went to bed late and we rarely even ate together.
‘I know a few couples who have split up because they have decided they can’t stand one another.
‘Sitting down and watching television reminded us how much we enjoyed the same jokes.’
Mary and Giles began calling each other ‘nutty’ because they consider each other to be a bit mad, according to Mary.
She also revealed that Giles has a multiple personality disorder, as she branded him a genius and simultaneously neurotic.
During her interview with the publication, she divulged his clumsy tendencies, as he frequently stubs his toe, burns or cuts himself, and makes a ‘tremendous fuss’ when doing so.
Mary humoured that his irritating antics made her consider swapping him for a new husband, but she concluded that he’s not so bad after all.
She added: ‘You have to understand all men are really annoying one way or another.
‘Would you prefer one of your friends’ husbands? I’ve thought about each one in turn and concluded their habits are even more irritating than Giles.’
