Gogglebox’s Pete Sandiford made a heart-melting declaration while giving fans a rare insight into his marriage with wife Paige.
On Friday’s episode of the hit Channel 4 show, which was also the last of the season, the happy couple enjoyed watching Bridgerton, The Piano, Inside No. 9, My Strange Addiction: Still Addicted?, and more.
During a scene from Bridgerton, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is seen asking potential suitor Lord Debling: ‘Love may one day grow?’ but Lord Debling simply answers: ‘I do not know.’
At that point, Pete was quick to comment comparing to his real-life situation: ‘I didn’t think I was going to get somebody like Paige, but here I am. You’ve got to punch above your weight, when Paige realises… I’ll say: ‘Too late’.’
Later in the last instalment, Pete’s sister Sophie Sandiford also made an appearance mentioning: ‘You do know it’s your wedding anniversary on Wednesday, don’t you?’

But Pete seemed shocked and replied: ‘Don’t do that to me, I thought it was today!’
‘I’ve nothing at the minute, I need to sort something out. To be fair, she did say: ‘Oh you know, we won’t do anything, not get anything,’ Peter added.
But Sophie immediately quipped: ‘No! That means get me something, don’t fall into that trap!’ to which Pete replied: ‘Yes, I know, I already know!’
‘I say to Paige, the biggest gift is me and it’s quite cheap, quite thrifty,’ the Gogglebox star added laughing.
Pete and Paige have been happily married since 2021 and welcomed their first child together later on in the same year.
The Gogglebox’s favourite couple announced in December 2022 they were expecting their first child, with Peter sharing the joyful news with fans officially during an episode.
Their second child, a daughter, was eventually born in June 2023, and Pete took the occasion to introduce him through the telly.
While sweetly cradling the teeny tiny, he called out his sister Sophie who was in the other room and said: ‘Sophie, did I tell you Eva’s full name? She’s going to be Eva Sylvie Sandiford.’

Pete and Paige have been happily married since 2021 and welcomed their first child, Jimmy, later on in the same year
In June 2023 they welcomed their second child, Eva Sylvie
And Sophie seemed to be just every inch of the happy auntie as she gushed: ‘I love it!’
Pete and Sophie have been Gogglebox regulars on Friday nights and viewers’ long-time favourites as they continued to appear on the Channel 4 show throughouly since 2017.
