A former Bandidos bikie has admitted to beating a father-of-two to death with a shifting spanner and tyre iron before burning his body on a remote property.
Greg Dufty, a 37-year-old pool builder, went missing on July 6, 2015, after he was picked up in a Mack truck from an Ashmore car park and taken to a remote part of the Gold Coast hinterland, according to the Courier Mail reported.
This week, former Bandios bikie Lionel John Patea and his two associates pleaded guilty to bashing Mr Dufty until he died because he had stolen their cannabis.
Mr Dufty’s body has never been found.

When Mr Dufty wouldn’t wake up after the bashing, his body was burned at a property near Casino in northern NSW, the Brisbane Supreme court heard on Monday.
Patea appeared to laugh before pleading guilty to murder.
His brother, Nelson Andrea Patea, and Aaron John Crawford each pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter.
Liam Rawhiti Bliss and Clinton Lee Earl Stockman also pleaded guilty to his manslaughter in February, Courier Mail reported.
Lionel Patea was sentenced to life in prison early last year for brutally beating his girlfriend Tara Brown to death, the publication reported.
