Golden Retriever unwraps an adorable puppy for Christmas

One pup’s good behavior was rewarded this year with a special surprise from Santa.

Cash is instantly attentive and sniffs the package excitedly. When the man puts the box down, Cash nudges off the top to reveal a curious puppy.

The older dog is instantly enthralled and leaps back and forth saying hello to the young pup.

The youngster clambers out of the box with help from its new owner and quickly bonded with Cash.

Owner Marie Ahonen’s other dog, Rosie, died suddenly three years ago. 

Since Rosie’s death, Cash had been feeling lonely so Marie decided to reward his good behavior with the surprise puppy.

It paid off, and Cash and the new pup couldn’t be closer.
