Golden State Warriors shooting guard/small forward Gary Payton II has suffered a torn right calf according to The Athletics’ Shams Charania.

The injury will put Payton on the sidelines for an indefinite amount of time.

Peyton exited Tuesday’s 124-123 loss against the Sacramento Kings with hurt after playing 16 minutes and 32 seconds.

He appeared to suffer the non-contact injury after attempting to get over a screen with just under a minute remaining in the third quarter of the game.

Payton had immediately pulled up and appeared to grab at the top of his calf before instantly hobbling to the locker room for further examination.
