Good, bad… or just very ugly? Crocs launch their most divisive footwear yet – shin-high cowboy boots with spurs

  • Limited-edition shoe, with stars and zigzags, is to be released for Crocs Day
  • It also features a metallic spin-able spur and ‘unique metallic Jibbitz’ charms

They’re one of the most divisive shoes on the market.

But even the most avowed Crocs fan may struggle to style the brand’s latest model, a shin-high cowboy boot.

The limited-edition shoe, which will be available to buy from October 23, has been uniquely designed with a ‘high shine croc-embossed texture and bold western-inspired stitching’.

Embellished with sparkly, silver stars and zigzag patterns, the boot also features a spin-able, metallic ‘spur charm’ attached to the backstrap on the shoe’s heel and ‘unique metallic Jibbitz charms’.

In keeping with the boot’s Western theme, the iconic crocs crocodile mascot, printed on the rivet detail of the shoe, has also been adorned with a miniature cowboy hat.

The new boot, created in time for ‘Crocs day’, has been dedicated ‘wholeheartedly’ to croc’s ‘passion-fuelled’ fan base – endearingly known as ‘Croc Nation’.

Last night Chief Marketing Office at Crocs Heidi Cooley said: ‘Croc Day was born by our fans so we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate them than by bringing their ideas to life.’
