The suspect stormed the restaurant on Wednesday and looked for his 31-year-old ex-girlfriend.

She was stabbed near the front hallway of the restaurant and screamed, leading several bystanders, including Allan Corson Jr, 26, to jump into action and come to her aid.

‘My son jumped up immediately as soon as he heard the woman screaming, and he ran toward the screaming,’ his father Allan Corson Sr. said to WCVB.

Corson found the suspect and tackled him to the ground and was stabbed in the process. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

‘My son, actually, he didn’t even realize he got a knife wound to his back, so he got cut [by] the gentleman with the knives,’ his father said.

When cops arrived to the scene the suspect was being pinned down by Corson and other patrons. Officers struggled with him to place him in handcuffs.

The victim was rushed to the hospital via ambulance and was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Asencio faces a string of charges including murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.

Authorities say that he was already wanted for a previous attack on the same victim, as per the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office.

In that case he allegedly broke into her home on April 21 while wearing a mask and attacked her with a stun gun. Both Ascencio and the woman suffered injuries in that attack.
