A seemingly innocent satellite image of school grounds has sent social media into a frenzy after it revealed a crude message.

The image found on Google Maps shows the new waterfront of Bunbury Senior High School in Bunbury, 200kms south of Perth.

But it also displays what appears to be a prank left by school leavers over the summer school holidays.

A seemingly innocent satellite image of a high school in Bunbury (pictured), 200kms south of Perth, has revealed what appears to be a prank left by school leavers of the summer holidays

Carved into the school’s lush green grass is a crudely drawn image of the male genitalia.

The image was shared to social media on Monday by ABC reporter Gian De Poloni, who questioned if it was a leavers’ prank.

‘Google has updated its Bunbury map showing off the brand spanking new waterfront,’ he wrote to Twitter.

‘But what’s more interesting is what’s happening at the local high school…’
