GOT star Sophie Turner cuts a relaxed figure in Montreal

She’s been making the most of her break from HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones.

And Sophie Turner, 21, continued to figuratively let her hair down as she enjoyed an alfresco brunch with her parents Sally and Andrew on Sunday in Montreal, Canada.

The flame-haired beauty is currently in the city filming X-Men: Dark Phoenix and no doubt enjoyed a break away from filming with her parents by her side.

The British beauty cut a relaxed figure as she dined outdoors with her family, wearing a monochrome Breton top while she sipped on her beverage.

Sophie – who made her name playing Sansa Stark in HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones – complemented her stylish display by shielding her eyes with a pair of classic shades and small silver hooped earrings.

Recently dying her red-hued tresses a dark shade of auburn, she worked her mane into a messy tousled ponytail alongside her youthful mother Sally.

Shooting the next instalment of the X-Men franchise, Sophie will reprise her role of mutant Doctor Jean Grey who’s powers include telepathy, telekinesis and mind control.

However, in the upcoming flick fans of the comic book series will see the franchise explore her character’s dark alter ego, Dark Phoenix, and whether the X-Men will decide if her life is worth more than all the people living in the world.

She will star opposite Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender, James McEvoy and Nicholas Hoult in the new film set for release in November 2th 2018.

Noticeably absent from their catch-up was Sophie other half and DNCE frontman Joe Jonas, 28.

The lovebirds have proved inseparable since they went public with their affections in December 2016.

Despite being spotted out and about, Sophie recently kept very tight-lipped about her boyfriend when she claimed their whirlwind romance was ‘very private’ and she intended to keep it that way.

Having dated Joe for several months, the British starlet told Marie Claire UK that she is repeatedly exasperated by the public dissection of every detail of their relationship, however trivial.

‘You do feel like you’re living in a fishbowl,’ she explained. ‘It’s frustrating (that) it’s the most mundane things that make the make the news – how boring!’

An overnight success thanks to her career-defining role as Sansa Stark, Sophie has grown accustomed to being recognised by fans of the show.

However she believes her latest romance has drastically altered the way people interact with her to an almost intolerable extent, with some choosing to surreptitiously take photos – much to her annoyance.

‘I find it really rude, and I will be rude back,’ she said. ‘It’s such an invasion of privacy. I could be out with my mum on her birthday and I will ask them to delete it.

‘I would much rather them come up and ask for a photo. I will probably be fine with it…unless I look s**t!’

Her candid interview comes after she explained that she has been told to lose weight for her work in the past, even when her size was irrelevant to the part.

The Game Of Thrones star said it was ‘f***ed up’ that film bosses ‘often’ wanted her to alter her already-slim frame for the role.

The actress added that she has learned to ‘keep her mouth shut’ over her years in the spotlight, after shooting to fame at the tender age of 15.

Discussing her weight, she told Porter magazine: ‘There are often times when I have done jobs and they’ve told me that I have to lose weight, even when it has nothing to do with the character. It is so f***ed up.’

The X-Men: Apocalypse actress was thrust into the spotlight playing Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ and while she initially struggled to adapt to life in the public eye, she tried to carry on her life as normal, much to the despair of her ‘team’ – who worried about her social media outbursts.

She said: ‘It was so gradual that I still treated my life and my social media like I wasn’t in the public eye.

‘I was a 15-year-old girl writing rash political stuff that would get a negative reaction and my team would tell me to take it down. Now I am learning to keep my mouth shut.’

Meanwhile, the Louis Vuitton model has certainly been making the most of her hiatus from shooting the HBO show that made her a household name.

Earlier this month, Sophie posted a snap to Instagram of herself in leggings and a Mickey Mouse cap standing in front of a cartoon mural in New York with Joe’s new pet pooch Porky Basquiat.
