Graffiti vandal caught on camera spray painting a police car

  • A man was caught red-handed spray painting a police station and the car
  • He took his time writing on the side of the car, back window and building
  • Police released CCTV footage and images in the hope of finding the man 
  • The Queensland Police Media were shocked saying ‘Really, really, come on’ 

Footage has emerged of a graffiti vandal spray-painting his ‘tag’ on the side of a police car.

The man is still on the run after he took his time writing on the side of the vehicle and the back window at 3.40am Saturday morning.

Police have released CCTV footage and images in the hope of finding the man who was last seen at the Edens Landing station, 30km south of Brisbane.

Wearing a grey sweater and black pants, the man is seen approaching the police car, pausing, then writing on the car for several seconds.

He then appears to move to the back of the police car as he continues to spray paint the back window.

The man then walks up to the police station and sprays graffiti on the station.

Police described the man as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, with a slim build and very short black hair.

Queensland Police media seemed shocked by the news posting ‘Really? Really? Come on,’ on social media. 

‘Police have released CCTV of a man who may be able to assist with investigations into the graffiti of a police vehicle and building at the Edens Landing Police Beat this morning,’ the police said.
