Grant Denyer received a very unwelcome Christmas visitor on Tuesday.
The TV star, 46, posted a video to Instagram showing a deadly tiger snake stretched out across his windowsill.
Mainland tiger snakes are responsible for the second-highest number of bites in Australia, and their bites are fatal if untreated.
‘How much is that tiger snake in the window,’ sang a visibly nervous Denyer in an attempt at humour.
His caption described is as the ‘[worst] Christmas display ever’.
Denyer also joked that he wished ‘the hospital was a little bit closer’ to his home given how venomous the reptile is.
Tiger snakes accounted for 17% of snakebites in Australia between 2005 and 2015, with four deaths recorded.
The skin-crawling post comes after Grant’s wife Chezzi opened up about her mental health struggles following the birth of her first child.

The married couple welcomed daughter Sailor in 2011, but it wasn’t until two years after giving birth Chezzi decided to receive treatment for postnatal anxiety and PTSD.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the 43-year-old detailed her journey to recovery.
‘Ten years ago, today, I made a very scary step and began professional treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Postnatal Anxiety,’ she began.
‘At the time I was unable to articulate what I was feeling, or understand the why… For some time I had exhausted myself trying to conceal it. I was so scared.’

Chezzi added she was ‘scared of being called crazy and to sleep most nights’ because she was suffering with night terrors.
‘The repeated visions of the very things that had scarred me, waking me shaking. I would die graphically in my dreams,’ she continued.
The podcast host added she was often fearful of taking care of daughter Sailor.
‘Like a true mask wearer, I laughed it off,’ Chezzi said. ‘Most people who knew me well had no idea of my personal battle.
‘While seeking help took me a number of attempts, as many dismissed me at first – My mask was strong – It has become the single most profound thing I have ever done. In my life.
‘My entire world began to change on that day, ten years ago.’
The media personality concluded her post by saying her life has completely changed for the better in the last 10 years.

‘And today while I quietly smile about how far I’ve come, I wanted to share this quite personal post with you because I know that it will resonate with many people still trying to conceal and wear their masks,’ she added.
‘Today my life is so different. I am content.’
