Moments later, his girlfriend, 22-year-old Kristina Perry, walks through the door.

Immediately, Bashi runs toward her and begins to attack her with a number of household items.

In the footage, Bashi is seen punching, kicking, and throwing lit candles and other objects at Perry.

Investigators say that Perry was kicked more than 100 times and stabbed repeatedly.

‘He comes back multiple times with multiple knives,’ Pam Mclean, a Macomb County investigator, said.

The video also shows Bashi leave the room multiple times. ‘He's opening another drawer, grabbing another knife,’ Mclean said

‘The attack is much too graphic at times to show.’

‘He’s got the knife in his hand there,’ Mclean said. ‘He’s stabbing her multiple times.’

The footage indicates that barely any words are exchanged.

‘She’s just lying there,’ Mclean said. ‘Not fighting back or moving at all.’

Perry is discovered on the porch of the home by neighbors, who then call the police.

She was rushed to hospital, where she spent days in a coma.

Even though she was beaten within inches of her life, Perry did not want to see her boyfriend go to prison.

Despite the attack which almost killed her, Perry asked prosecutors to drop charges against Bashi (whose mug shot is seen above)

After her recovery, she took the witness stand during Bashi’s arraignment and pleaded for prosecutors to dismiss all charges.

‘She told the judge she wanted the defendant out of jail, and told the judge that it was her fault this happened,’ Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said.

The prosecutor said he was not surprised by Perry’s request.

‘Our office handles about 2,500 domestic violence cases a year,’ he said.

‘Of those cases 60 percent of the victims either recant their story or don’t show up to the court at all.

‘The defendant puts pressure on the victim to dismiss the charges.

‘We are the only ones that can dismiss the charges so we don’t do it.’

Without the video, it is unlikely prosecutors would have moved ahead with their case against Bashi.

‘This video, as awful as it is, thank God we have it,’ Smith said.

Smith said he wanted this case to serve as an example to the public. He is urging witnesses to come forward and report abuse even if the person being abused is unwilling to do so.

‘If you see someone going through this and you think someone is going through this, even though they say they are not – they are afraid to come forward,’ Smith said.

‘You have got to step in and help.’

Police who investigated the home found a controlled steroid in the house.

Prosecutors believe Bashi’s lawyers will use that to claim the attack was fueled by ‘roid rage.’
