Gregg Wallace, 55, shows off his slimmer physique as he works out

He’s working out five times a week during lockdown after vowing to keep up with his fitness following his four stone weight loss.

And Gregg Wallace gave fans a glimpse into his exercise regime on Instagram on Friday.

The Masterchef judge, 55, got up at the crack of dawn to work out, while his son Sid, 11 months, was asleep.

Taking to his Insta stories, Gregg said: Good Morning. It’s 6.20am. Come on we’re going to have to exercise if we’re going to eat all those Easter eggs.’

The TV star then proceeded to pose in the mirror before limbering up for the workout.

Gregg showed fans how he could do an advanced press-up and gave them a challenge by asking them to give it a go.

After working up a sweat, the cook decided to head to the kitchen to share an insight into his diet.

Gregg gave instructions on how to make a flat bread, which he enjoyed with the family with a tomato and basil salad.

It comes after Gregg admitted his son Sid, 11 months, and his wife Anna, 33, were the driving forces behind his recent fitness transformation.

The media personality has lost a whopping four stone and has his sights set on achieving a body fat reading of 15 percent – but Anna doesn’t want him to overdo it.

‘Falling in love with a much younger woman is incentive to look after yourself,’ Gregg told MailOnline in an exclusive chat this week. ‘I am very aware she is 22 years younger than me. But saying that, she doesn’t care.

‘The only thing she does say is “don’t get too muscly, I don’t like all the veins!”‘

Gregg – who welcomed Sid last spring, also admits his newfound love for health is so he can be ‘fit for my baby’.

‘I want to be there as long as I can be,’ he admitted. ‘And I love that I can run around with him and play with him. I love to strap him to me and run around the grass with him.’

Gregg – who is also father to grown-up children Libby and Tom – also stressed that wellness is about making yourself feel better.

‘How you feel about yourself on a day-by-day basis is the the mostly important thing in the world,’ he said, admitting that he is now ‘a big gym bunny’ who makes sure he works out ‘seven days a week’.

'Exercise is the first thing in the diary. I am in the gym at 6AM', Gregg said

‘Exercise is the first thing in the diary. I am in the gym at 6AM. If I’m traveling or off filming somewhere I will find one of those Pure Gyms that are open 24 hours and I could be in there at 5AM.

‘That’s my thing! That’s what I love to do!’

Gregg – like the rest of the UK and much of the world – is currently on lockdown thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, but isn’t letting that stop him.

‘There is no way I am not exercising!’ he said. ‘My trainer, Danny Rai, is a very clever guy. He has set me a five-day training programme that doesn’t require any equipment at all.

‘Some are 30 minute sessions, some are 50 minutes. You can’t do a great deal of muscle development without equipment, which is what I’d like to do, but I can still stay fit and do a lot of cardio.

‘And being at home I can eat what I want!’
