A family-of-five who perished inside Grenfell Tower are to be commemorated by loved ones as an inquiry enters its fifth day.
Abdulaziz El Wahabi, 52, his wife Fouzia, 42 and their three children 21-year-old Yasin, 16-year-old Nurhuda and eight-year-old Mehdi all died in the North Kensington blaze.
Tributes to the El Wahabis will be made by friends and family members before inquiry chairman Sir Martin Moore Bick this morning.
It follows a harrowing first four days that have seen devastated survivors tell of their pain after losing loved ones to the blaze last June.
Yesterday, Mohammed Hakim, 32, quietly paid tribute to his mother, father, two brothers and sister as he praised his siblings for their bravery.
Kamru Miah, 79, Rabeya Begum, 64, Mohammed Hamid, 28, Mohammed Hanif, 26 and Husna Begum, 22, were found on the 17th floor and died from injuries ‘consistent with the effects of fire’, the inquests into their deaths heard.
Today’s hearing will also commemorate victims Hashim Kedir, Nura Jemal, Yahya Hashim, Firdaws Hashim, Khadija Khaloufi, Steve Power and Jessica Urbano Ramirez.
