Growing fears missing eight-year-old girl could have been taken interstate

There are growing fears a missing child could have been taken across state lines after she went missing with a woman known to her.

Molly Nonnan-Medley, eight, was last seen north of Wollongong in Woonona, south of Sydney, at about 11am on Thursday.

Police were alerted on Friday after attempts to contact the woman failed.

An investigation has been launched to find the eight-year-old, who has been described as 120cm tall with a thin build, blue eyes and blond/brown hair.

The woman is known to frequent the Woonona, Wollongong and Huskisson areas, however police believe she may be taking the child interstate.

‘Inquiries have established that the pair maybe heading to somewhere in Queensland,’ a NSW Police spokesperson said.

‘It is believed they may be relying on public transport to travel.’

Anyone with information has been urged to contact authorities.
