Guess Jeans USA launches line honoring Anna Nicole Smith

World renowned denim brand GUESS has launched GUESS Jeans U.S.A., a division of men’s and women’s clothing influenced from past collections and inspired by art, music, fashion and culture.

First up for the new subdivision is a collaborative partnership with Los Angeles-based photographer, director, artist and designer Cali Thornhill DeWitt to celebrate legendary GUESS model, Anna Nicole Smith.

The 2-piece ‘Did You Miss Me?’ Anna Nicole Smith x Cali Thornhill DeWitt capsule drops January 17th, 2018 and will be available on the Guess Jeans website.

The unisex collection includes a $90 t-shirt and a $170 sweatshirt, both available in black and white.

Both silhouettes feature an iconic black and white 1992 GUESS campaign image of Anna on the front of the garment, with the text “Did You Miss Me?” printed in red across the back.

‘When I started talking to GUESS about working on a project together, my immediate hope was to revisit the queen, Anna Nicole Smith,’ said Cali.

With an Old Hollywood beauty and curves that looked amazing in a pair of blue jeans, Anna was one of the brand’s most famous faces in their ’90s ad campaigns. ‘I missed seeing her on billboards, floating above Hollywood, looking out over the city,’ said Cali.

‘Having already made an Anna Nicole Smith tee on my own a couple of years ago, it seemed like fate to get the chance to make one with GUESS.’

This isn’t the first time that Cali has created must-have pop culture merch. In 2016, the artist designed the merchandise for Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo Tour, of which were recently nominated for Beazley Design of the Year award.
