But original red Wiggle Murray Cook has tried his hand at a new genre of music, making an unexpected cameo in DZ Deathrays’ music video for their single ‘Like People’.
The 57-year-old pays homage to his star-making role as a children’s entertainer, holding a hot potato and donning a red shirt in a series of nods to The Wiggles.

The quirky video begins with Murray emerging from a toilet, adjusting a pair of glasses in the mirror.
The former children’s entertainer can be seen dancing with a roll of red material, before changing into a red shirt.
Making a series of signature Wiggles dance moves, the video segues to Murray enthusiastically playing guitar and dancing in an empty auditorium.

Murray was a founding member of The Wiggles, creating the group with Greg Page and Anthony Field in 1991.
In 2012 he left the group alongside Greg and Jeff Fatt, with Murray replaced by new red Wiggle Simon Pryce.

Since appearing on The Wiggles Murray has explored his musical side, joining punk rock band The Soul Movers.
Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald last September, Murray said people were often shocked to discover he could play instruments.
The singer also added that he didn’t miss The Wiggles hectic touring schedule, which could involve 300 concert dates a year.
