This is the horrific moment a gunman broke into a home and shot at a terrified mother and her child before blasting her husband in the head – just to steal a TV.
The husband had gone outside to investigate a noise allowing the gunman to slip inside the home in the Florida area of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Once indoors, the robber then shot at the mother and child at least three times as they tried to flee into another room.
The husband, alerted by the gunshots, ran back into the house before being shot in the head by the gunman who had been trying to wrench a TV off the wall.

With the husband in a position of surrender, the gunman unlocked the front door and let in his accomplice who attacked the homeowner with a hammer.
The husband can be seen bleeding from a wound to the head and the hand but one of the raiders still aims his gun at him and threatens to shoot him dead.They then bundle him into a back room.
His wife broke her leg while jumping over a wall into a neighbours garden as she fled with her daughter.
The two thugs, who were only after the flat screen television, could not work out how to lift the screen out of its bracket. They can be seen pulling it back and forth, finally tearing it off the wall. The TV was almost certainly broken making the ruthless 9pm raid totally pointless.

Police and ambulance services raced to the scene and rushed the unnamed husband to hospital where he underwent emergency head surgery. He is said to be in a stable condition.
His wife was treated for a broken leg and their daughter for severe shock and trauma after the raid, on Sunday night.
South African Police Service spokesman Kay Makhubele said: ‘The family heard something at the gate and the man went out to investigate what the noise was.
‘The man got to the gate and was overpowered by thugs. The man of the house was shot and another family member injured her leg when she jumped over a wall.
‘If you hear suspicious noises never investigate and always call the police’ he said.
Eventually the robbers managed to rip the television off the wall and were able to escape
Mr Makhubele confirmed the husband was shot in the head and that he and his wife are in hospital and that the husband is in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.
The video has been widely shared on Facebook attracting over 29000 views.
Most comments state that they cannot believe the amount of violence used by the robbers just to steal a TV.
The video then switches to CCTV in the garage that shows the two armed robbers escaping via the garage and getting into a pale blue Toyota Corolla to make their escape.
