Gunshots have been fired in the carpark of a Sydney Woolworths, forcing shoppers to flee to safety.
The scene unfolded in Neutral Bay, in the city’s northern suburbs, at 4.30 on Monday afternoon.
Police told Daily Mail Australia two people are in custody.
Witness Madison Sullivan, who was only 10 metres away from the gunshots, told Daily mail Australia the situation was ‘quite scary’.

Shocked passers-by took to local Facebook groups to ask about the situation, claiming they saw ‘loads of police’.
‘Shooting in the carpark,’ one man replied.
‘My wife was there 10 metres from where it happened and her car is now stuck in the carpark.’
He added: ‘No one injured and at least we got the groceries.’
Another witness recalled sitting on a bench outside the shopping centre when she heard gunshots.
‘Ran as fast as I could,’ she said.
One man said police told his mother that two men with guns opened fire.
Police said the situation is under investigation.
