A primary teacher accused of filming up little girl’s skirts in Sydney’s south west is the father of a young daughter.

Guy James Meogrossi, 30, was arrested at Spring Farm Public School, near Camden, on Monday after allegedly creating child abuse material.

Police will allege a student saw Meogrossi filming up the skirts of female students and reported the behaviour to another teacher.

That teacher then allegedly informed the school principal, who promptly contacted police.

Meogrossi was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with one count of filming a person’s private parts without consent, one aggravated count of filming a person’s private parts without consent and producing child abuse material.

He was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday.

Photos on social media show Meogrossi doting over his six-year-old daughter, who he shares with an ex-partner.

Aside from teaching, Meogrossi helped with extracurricular activities, coaching the school’s touch football team and organising a jump rope challenge to raise funds for the Heart Foundation.

A NSW Department of Education spokesperson said ‘the Department is working closely with police and the employee has been removed from teaching duties.’

‘The safety of students is always our number one priority,’ they said.

‘Support and counselling services are available for students and staff members.’
