Guy Sebastian’s bitter court feud with his elderly neighbour has taken a dramatic turn after the pop star failed to hand over footage of their alleged clash to court.
Phillip Hanslow, 66, is accused of threatening to kill Sebastian and kicking over a fence dividing their adjoining Maroubra properties on January 23.
The alleged altercation followed years of rising tensions over the pop star’s enormous concrete mansion which cost $7million to purchase and fully rebuild.
Sebastian, whose mansion is guarded by security cameras, was ordered by Waverley Local Court to produce footage of the incident on Thursday.
The singer failed to provide the video in time for the hearing, but was granted an extension until March 9.
A potential consequence of not complying with a subpoena to hand over the footage is that Sebastian could be arrested.
Celebrity lawyer Bryan Wrench, who represents Hanslow, told Daily Mail Australia outside court there was footage from ‘directly over’ where the incident unfolded.
‘Mr Hanslow complied with his obligations [by turning up to court] and Mr Sebastian hasn’t,’ Mr Wrench said outside court.
‘He [Sebastian] has not complied with the subpoena. We want the footage.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Sebastian’s representatives for comment.
The bitter row began in 2013 when Sebastian, 41, and wife Jules Egan, 43, bought their property at Maroubra, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, for $3.1million.

When they demolished the home to build their sprawling new dream mansion, it triggered a feud with their new neighbours.
Hanslow claims debris from the demolition damaged his home when a ‘brick missile’ smashed into an outside wall, narrowly missing his lounge window and his terminally ill wife Carol, who was watching TV inside.
And he slammed the final design of the Sebastian’s new home as an ugly fortress for its imposing and windowless frontage, butting right up to the edge of his home.
During the altercation on January 23, Hanslow is accused of telling the Battle Scars hitmaker: ‘I’ll put a bullet in your head’. However, Hanslow believes he actually said: ‘One day someone will put a bullet in your head.’
Police raided Hanslow’s home in the following days, arriving at the elderly man’s house while he was on the toilet.
He was arrested, charged and hit with an apprehended violence order for Sebastian’s protection.
Outside court, Hanslow told Daily Mail Australia that his neighbour was a ‘vengeful’ person.
‘He’s paranoid about security and has a large security camera outside so anywhere I go outside on the property, he can see…’ he claimed earlier this month.
‘We’re going to have to sell. We’re too old for this.
‘I’m surprised by the whole ordeal [being charged] and I’m surprised the police even arrested me.
‘I spent six and half hours in the lockups over just a heated argument between neighbours, which I think is really overboard.’
The Hanslows now live in a rundown and dilapidated property in Carlton with their pet bird, Boo Boo.

But Hanslow, who was forced to retire as a builder due to his fibromyalgia, or widespread muscle pain, still returns to the Maroubra home to work on renovations.
Earlier this month, Mr Wrench – who has represented music icon Shannon Noll, NRL star Sam Burgess, and Wolf Creek actor John Jarrett – was at court for a separate matter when he offered to represent Hanslow after the case captured his attention.
When he arrived at his first court appearance at Waverley on February 2, Hanslow – a former builder – appeared calm as he helped his terminally-ill wife Carol clamber out of their car and into a wheelchair before pushing her inside.
The couple waited to be assigned a court room for about an hour, while Carol – who uses an oxygen tank – struggled to breathe properly and heart rate under control.
When his matter was called, Hanslow fronted the magistrate and calmly explained that he had been unable to get a lawyer.
‘I don’t want to enter a plea today because I tried to get Legal Aid to represent me but there was no one available,’ he told the magistrate.
He explained that a proposed two-week adjournment was not sufficient because he had to go to hospital within that time frame to have a bowel infection removed.
The matter was subsequently adjourned to March 9.
Several strangers offered their help to Hanslow and his wife during the court appearance as she struggled to move around, but the couple politely rejected their assistance.
Carol – who owns the home next to Sebastians and is in and out of hospital frequently with chronic respiratory issues – was repeatedly asked if she was OK, to which she replied: ‘I will be fine when I get my heart rate down.’

During the hearing, a court officer loudly drew attention to her breathing machine by asking: ‘Whoever is responsible for that beeping, can you turn it off?’
A member of the gallery explained that the noise was coming from Carol’s breathing machine. The couple apologised and Carol turned off the device.
Mr Wrench, from Murphy’s Lawyers, was in a separate court for another matter by sheer coincidence and noticed Hanslow’s case.
‘It’s a bit grandiose to think these guys [the Hanslows] are a threat. I don’t normally do this, in fact I never have before, but I would be happy to represent him,’ he told Daily Mail Australia at the time.
