‘It was a surreal experience for me, working alongside a really stellar cast with iconic Bollywood actors, in my very first acting role – it was something that I will never forget.

‘I am humbled & have a lot more to say & thank a great production team at @24sixfilms. As soon as I read the script I instantly loved the story.

‘Hindi Vindi is emotional & heartfelt, & tells the story of an Aussie-Indian boy & his musical journey. I was also fortunate enough to write & record original songs to support the soundtrack.

‘I am really proud of this project, & if anything at least I know I made my Indian mum proud! It will be released in theatres all over Australia in September!’

However, Guy recently warned TV talent competition hopefuls that winning a show does not always guarantee career success.

Speaking to news.com.au last week, the ARIA Award winning singer shared: ‘After winning Idol, I never had the mentality, “OK, I’m all set!”‘

‘I wanted to be a sponge, learn as much as I could and run with it. Often, what surprises me is there’s still this mentality: “I’m going on the show and then my life will be set”.’

Sebastian also detailed the huge changes the music industry has gone through that has made it even more competitive since he won Australian Idol 21 years ago.

‘The world has changed so much. You have to work harder than ever before,’ he warned prospective contestants.

‘It’s not the landscape anymore where you’re young and you get signed – and then there’s this whole department that is just focused on creating an aura or an album or a sound for you.’
