Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton put on a surprise public performance at his Oklahoma bar

They got married over the Fourth of July weekend in an intimate Oklahoma ceremony with just friends and family.

And Gwen Stefani and her husband Blake Shelton made one of their first public appearances as newlyweds on Thursday even when they put on a free public concert at Blake’s Ole Red bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

The 51-year-old No Doubt singer and the 45-year-old country music star duetted on a low-key acoustic performance in front of an adoring crowd in video posted to Facebook by Katy Country 93.1.

The first song the lovebirds were filmed singing was their 2020 collaboration Happy Anywhere, which was featured on his album Body Language from the same year.

Although neither artist was involved in writing the song, they had definitely made it their own as they sang the tune.

Gwen looked country casual with a white tank top and jeans tucked into brown suede boots with fringe running down the sides.

She had a plaid shirt tied around her waist and styled her long platinum locks straight.

Blake was also dressed casually in a black short-sleeve button-up shirt with jeans and a tan baseball cap turned backward.

The singers appeared to have a modest band backing them, and the players were arranged in a circle with an audience surrounding them.

After wrapping up the first song, they chatted for a bit while the musicians set up for the next tune.

Up next was a rendition of their duet Nobody But You, which Blake released in December 2019 on his compilation album Fully Loaded: God’s Country.

The love song marked the third duet recorded by the couple, but Blake initially released snippets of the song that only featured his vocals, before revealing that it was a duet with his love when the album was released.

During the intimate performance, Blake put his guitar down and Gwen gazed into his eyes as they sang at each other.

Blake mused to the audience how special it was that a pop star like Gwen was performing for them, according to TMZ.

The Voice coach has tour dates starting out west in Nebraska and Colorado in mid-August for his Friends and Heroes tour before moving east, so he appeared to be warming up with the help of his new wife.

Earlier this week, People reported that the two had decided to hold off on a honeymoon as they were both busy with work, especially with Blake’s tour approaching.

‘They’re both very, very busy this year with work, and this was the only time they could fit in the wedding,’ a source told the publication.

Gwen’s also at work on her next studio album, and she’ll be returning to Las Vegas for her Just A Girl residency at Planet Hollywood starting in late October.

They were married in an outdoor chapel that Blake constructed himself starting last year.

Gwen stunned during the ceremony in a gorgeous white gown designed by Vera Wang.

The singer opted for a ‘custom lily white silk georgette and hand tumbled tulle high low gown with a plunging neckline and a cut away back.’

The dress had a special family touch and had the names of her sons Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12 and Apollo, seven, sewed into it, along with her and Blake’s names.

In February, Blake opened up about how much it meant for him to become a stepfather to the three boys during a radio interview for KFROG’s The Ride With Kimo & Heather.

‘I don’t know if it’s as hard or harder or not as hard as being an actual, biological parent, you know?’ he mused. ‘I have a stepfather in my life who’s one of my heroes. I love my stepfather and I look up to him and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be. And I take it very serious.

‘But I also have a blast with it, I’m not gonna lie,’ he continued. ‘I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am, especially now that we’re five years into this thing.’Blake added, ‘I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.’
