Gwyneth Paltrow wears near IDENTICAL ensemble to court for second day of Utah ‘hit and run’ ski case

Gwyneth Paltrow proved that she pays no mind to her critics on Wednesday when she re-wore a pair of aviator-style glasses to the second day of her Utah ski crash trial – hours after facing mockery for the eyewear’s similarity to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer’s signature specs.

But the 50-year-old actress didn’t stop at her glasses when it came to cloning her courtroom ensemble – modeling almost the exact same outfit for day two of the trial that she had for her first legal outing.

The Shakespeare in Love star is currently being sued for $300,000 by a 76-year-old retired optometrist who claims that the actress left him with permanent brain damage when she allegedly ‘slammed’ into him during a 2016 ski crash.

Gwyneth arrived at the Park City court today wearing the exact same olive green wool coat and aviator shades that she had sported on day one, along with a near-identical pair of wide-leg brown trousers.

On both occasions she also added a cream sweater to her look that’s very similar to a $595 turtleneck sweater from her own label Goop for her first trial appearance and a $595 cardigan, again from her fashion brand, for the second.

Gwyneth has yet to take the stand in the trial – although she is expected to before the end of the week – however her appearances in the courtroom have already caused quite the stir online, particularly when it comes to her choice of eyewear.

Within minutes of the trial’s opening, social media users began mocking the actress online over her choice of large, gold-rimmed glasses, pointing out their uncanny resemblance to the style that Dahmer became famous for wearing.

‘Jeffrey Dahmer’s glasses,’ a commenter posted in response to a news article showing Gwyneth wearing the glasses.

‘I like her serial killer vibe,’ another comment read.

But Gwyneth appeared to be unfazed by the trolls and was seen wearing the glasses again on Wednesday.

This time she styled them with a $595 G. Label By Goop Bennett Belted Crewneck Cardigan matched with what is believed to be a pair of $425 Rowena Wide-Leg Corduroy Pants, also from her brand.

The actress and Goop founder finished off the look with a pair of $1,200 lace-up boots from Celine in calfskin tan.

In court she was seen carrying what appeared to be a brown Celine Big Bag, which can be sold on online resale sites for upwards of $1,600.

She donned a similar look on Tuesday, but with a cream-colored, turtleneck knitted sweater.

Gwyneth’s eyewear drew comparisons to Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, who was a serial killer and sex offender who killed and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 and wore similar glasses in his 1991 mugshot.

‘Jeffrey Dahmer meets Gwyneth Paltrow,’ one comment said.

‘Gwyneth Paltrow is literally going for the #Dahmer look at this ski accident trail…wtf? Not very on brand for @goop,’ another person posted.

A humorous post read: ‘These are exactly the kind of 1980s aviator specs you should wear when being sued by a retired optometrist.’

Another user compared her look to Ben Stiller’s undercover outfit in the 2004 film Starsky & Hutch, stating: ‘I can’t be the only one who sees it.’

Someone else added: ‘Gwyneth Paltrow showed up for court wearing the most “I’m an evil rich c-word” glasses you’re going to see.’

On Wednesday, Gwyneth’s lawyer complained about a new camera pointing ‘directly’ at the actress at her trial, claiming it violated courtroom ‘decorum.’

Attorney Steve Owens raised the issue with Judge Kent Holmberg just before the second day of trial proceedings could begin, pointing to a camera that had been placed in front of his client, who sat alongside him visibly annoyed.

The attorney also claimed Gwyneth had been hounded by photographers and reporters when she left court Tuesday and asked to be notified of any changes involving photography in the courtroom.

‘Your honor we have a new camera pointed directly at my client, right there on the right, which I understand is from the AP,’ he said pointing to the lens.

He added: ‘And this has been a problem, for instance reporters being in front of my client’s car, going out yesterday. Cameras in her face.’

The judge reassured her attorney he would look into the issue during a court recess, noting he was aware of his previous complaints on the matter and that he ‘recognized it as a problem.’

The lawyer then doubled down saying: ‘And I wanna be advised if there are new changes because it’s just by chance that we see that there’s a camera directly pointed at her which is contrary to the decorum order.

‘So I don’t want changes without reporters telling you.’

‘I think that’s a reasonable request,’ Judge Holmberg replied.

The Oscar-winning actress appeared upbeat and greeted photographers as she arrived at the courthouse.

Gwyneth, 50, could potentially take the stand today, with attorneys for retired optometrist Terry Sanderson, 76, saying they will call the actress if time permits.

Terry, who claims he was left with permanent injuries, is suing the Hollywood star for $300,000 over the 2016 ski collision.

Gwyneth has subsequently filed a counterclaim for $1 and attorney fees.

During a dramatic day of testimony on Tuesday, the prosecution’s star witness Craig Ramon, 48, told the court he had seen Gwyneth ‘slam’ into his friend, Terry, before ‘bolting’ away down the mountain.

He added: ‘We were skiing down the run and then I heard this scream. I looked over and I see this skier just slam into the back of Terry.

‘She slammed him. Very hard. She hit him directly in the back. The tips of his skis go out and he goes face down, spread eagled, with Gwyneth on top of him. There was about a second or two.

‘Terry stops, then Gwyneth slid down to the right side. She bounced off of him.’

The Oscar winner has claimed she did not hit Sanderson and was instead, the victim of the crash.

During his opening statement, Gwyneth’s lawyer Stephen Owens said the star was left bruised and upset by the smash – and screaming ‘what the f***?’ at Sanderson.
