Half-naked Dodgers fan covered in blue paint taunts riot police amid World Series celebrations chaos

As Los Angeles police began shutting down celebrations in the aftermath of the Dodgers’ World Series victory, one man covered in body paint was able to evade police capture.

A man who was covered head-to-toe in blue paint – appearing to wear nothing but underwear – was seen scrawling out a victory message on a Los Angeles sidewalk as police approached him.

The message was innocuous (‘LA Champs’) but police sought order as the city went wild with celebration after defeating the New York Yankees for their eighth world championship.

One man in the crowd got knocked to the ground by police – who grabbed him by his backpack and hauled him down the sidewalk, according to footage captured by LA videographer Sean Beckner-Carmitchel.

Images captured by photographer Ethan Swope showed the man in paint running away from a cop – but it’s unclear if he was captured.

A dozen people were arrested by police across the city as Los Angeles turned into a scene of riotous revelry.

The Dodgers had won a World Series back in 2020, but the Covid pandemic essentially prevented a proper celebration from occurring. Now, for the first time since 1988, the city can truly enjoy a victory parade.

But order was lost in the moment – with storefronts being smashed as looters made off with merchandise and city busses being graffitied and burnt.

Fireworks were seen going off over the heads of those in the crowd – with one Dodgers fan blowing some of his fingers off after standing too close.

Other displays of ‘celebration’ included pyres being burnt on the city streets.

‘After the Dodgers World Series win, there were several incidents of unruly, and at times violent and hostile celebrations,’ the LAPD told The New York Post.

The city of Los Angeles is hoping for more orderly celebrations when the victory parade takes place on Friday.
