Halle Berry, 56, showcases her natural beauty by going make-up free as she takes a mirror selfie

Halle Berry proudly showed off her natural beauty by going make-up free in a new selfie she uploaded onto her main Instagram page on Thursday.

The Oscar winner, 56, who has been cast alongside Angelia Jolie in an upcoming Warner Bros. action-thriller, could be seen sporting a pink ensemble with a plunging neckline that was bordered with black lace.

The Monster’s Ball actress held up her smartphone in the reflection of a mirror and tilted her head slightly as she paused for the photo.

In the caption, the mother of two penned to her 8.4 million fans and followers, ‘Mirrors … the most honest friend out there,’ followed by a white heart emoji.

Her short locks were messily combed, with a few blonde strands easily falling past her forehead as she flashed a small smile towards the camera.

She accessorized her look by adding a dainty pair of gold earrings that offered a flashy touch to the overall look.

While talking to Marie Claire earlier this year in February, the actress opened up about her ‘signature look.’

‘I don’t think I have one,’ the Golden Globe winner admitted, adding, ‘I know that I’ve steered toward a more natural look. I have realized that less is more and less is best when you’re going down that path of life.’

She further continued, ‘So I’ve gotten in touch with just taking care of my skin, staying healthy, exercising, and going down my natural path,’ and revealed that she tends to wear, ‘very little makeup these days…’

However, being a successful Hollywood star, Halle tends to stop by glitzy events and allows herself to get glammed up but still aims to, ‘keep it as natural as possible,’ and explained that, ‘in real life, I’m kind of makeup-free these days, I think it’s been working for me.’

The star, who keeps up with a productive fitness routine to stay healthy and in shape, is no stranger to the world of glam and beauty.

Before her break in television and film, Berry was a contestant in beauty pageants, and notably was the runner-up in 1986 for Miss USA, and that same year, came in sixth for Miss World.

Halle has also focused on keeping up with her health, due to heart disease running in her family and being diagnosed with type one diabetes.

The mother of two, daughter Nahla, 15, and son Maceo, nine, told Harper’s Bazaar that her lifestyle had changed following her diabetes diagnosis in 1989.

‘Being diagnosed with diabetes, that was an aha moment that just changed my whole life,’ the Catwoman star admitted.

‘That’s when I got really committed to making fitness and exercise and diet a real part of my life.’

Halle has still put a majority of focus on her acting career, which has garnered her not only an Oscar and a Golden Globe, but also an Emmy win.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Berry was cast alongside fellow Hollywood actress, Angelina Jolie, to star in the upcoming Warner Bros. action-thriller titled, Maude vs. Maude.

The project will be produced by both actresses, and will also be the first time Halle and Angelina have worked together, according to Deadline.

Although details of the movie have remained under wraps thus far, a source informed the outlet that the premise is comparable to a ‘Bond vs. Bourne’ film and will be directed by Roseanne Liang.

The actress has plenty of experience when it comes to the action genre, and has appeared in films such as Die Another Day (2002) as a Bond girl, John Wick: Chapter 3-Parabellum, and also the X-Men franchise.

Berry, who launched a health and wellness website in 2020 titled rē•spin, also enjoys family time when she is not busy on set, and has been dating singer and Grammy winner, Van Hunt, since 2020.
