Pilot Jimmy Nicholson has been announced as the new Bachelor for the 2021 season of the popular Channel Ten dating show.

According to Sydney Confidential, the 31-year-old decided to sign up for the dating series after he was stood down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jimmy explained to the publication that he has found it difficult to find The One, because his job meant that he was ‘never in the same spot for too long’.

Jimmy won’t be the only new addition to the series this year, with production moving to a brand new mansion.

Last month Daily Mail Australia revealed that the dating series will be filmed at a property located in Dural in Sydney’s north-west.

The $6.3million property, sits on five acres of land and features French chateau-inspired architecture.

Before setting up in Dural, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were filmed at a $2.3million property in Oxford Falls, in Sydney’s north.
