Harry Kane will miss Sunday’s crucial clash against Everton – but Ryan Sessegnon is poised for his Tottenham debut at Goodison Park.

Prolific striker Kane is unavailable for selection through illness, news that will come as a bitter blow to Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

There is some concern that Kane could also miss Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Red Star Belgrade – but the England captain is expected to make the trip to Serbia.

The left-back has been recovering from hamstring injury since signing for Tottenham – but he is finally ready to feature for his new club.

Gareth Southgate will attend Sunday’s clash at Everton, which will provide Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Michael Keane an opportunity to impress ahead of Thursday’s squad announcement.
