Ron Weasley – Rupert Grint

Rupert Grint played Harry Potter’s best friend Ron Weasley in all eight of the Warner Bros films. 

He famously spent some of his wages on an ice cream van, unfazed by fame and fortune.

Now 31, he has starred in a number of other films and TV series, including the BBC’s Driving Lessons with his on-screen mother Julie Walters and French film Moonwalkers. He has also appeared in It’s Only A Play on Broadway alongside Matthew Broderick and Stockard Channing.

Bill Weasley – Domhnall Gleeson

Domhnall Gleeson played Ron’s older brother Bill in the later Harry Potter films. 

He has since starred in several Hollywood films, including About Time alongside Rachel McAdams (2013), Ex Machina (2015) and The Revenant (2015). 

 Most recently he starred in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), in which he played General Hux. 

Gleeson has also appeared in an episode of Black Mirror.

Fred and George Weasley – James and Oliver Phelps

Identical twin brothers James and Oliver Phelps play Ron’s twin brothers Fred and George in all eight of the Potter films.

Originally from Birmingham, they had to dye their hair the signature Weasley ginger for the part. 

They have largely stayed within the Potter franchise for other acting work, taking part in conventions and events across the world.

Both are involved in charity work, raising money for several organisations from Cancer Research UK to the RNLI.

Ginny Weasley – Bonnie Wright 

Bonnie Wright played Ron’s younger sister Ginny for all eight Potter films. Her character eventually falls in love with Harry and has children with him in the final scenes of the last movie. 

She has starred in various films, including The Sea, After The Dark and Before I sleep.

She has directed a number of short films and a music video and has acted as a screenwriter on Seperate We Come, Separate We go, a short film that debuted at Cannes Film Festival in 2012.

She was engaged to fellow Harry Potter star Jamie Bowler-Campbell, who played a young Gellert Grindelwald. They called off their engagement in 2012.
