The Harry Potter Studio Tour has suffered a major scare after shards of glass and metal pins were found in muffins at the attraction.  

The discovery was made when a member of staff picked up a half-eaten muffin that had a shard of glass in it.  

All the cafes at the popular attraction, which is located 20 miles out of London, were immediately shut down after the discovery.

An investigation subsequently uncovered 13 muffins laced with metal pins over the backlot tour’s four cafes. 

It is believed that police have begun investigating the incident.

Employees were told to keep both incidents quiet. 

‘It’s chilling and dark to think anyone could be so cold and calculating,’ the source said.

‘We get thousands of kids here every day – someone could have choked and died.  

‘Bosses were frightened about the consequences of this getting out.’

A spokesman for the backlot tour said they were taking the incident very seriously.

The attraction has the capacity to welcome up to 6000 people a day.
