Harry Styles is the latest A-lister to star on CBeebies bedtime stories as he follows in the footsteps of Orlando Bloom, Elton John, Tom Hardy

Harry Styles will become the latest famous face to settle down and read a children’s book on Cbeebies bedtime stories.

The One Direction and now solo singer, 28, will provide a bedtime reading of Jess Hitchman’s In Every House, On Every Street, which is illustrated by Lili la Baleine.

The story is described as a ‘heart-warming celebration of homes and the different families that live in them’.

The As It Was singer will don his pajamas as he introduces the story saying: ‘Tonight’s bedtime story is about a house full of love and laughter.’

Harry follows in the footsteps of Orlando Bloom who sent fans into overdrive with his appearance on the show, that sees celebrities read pre-school children a story before bed, on Friday evening. 

The actor, 45, was seen sitting on an armchair with his legs apart and puppy Mighty sprawled out on his lap, and appeared to leave viewers a little hot under the collar while narrating the short story.

Hit singer Elton John also appeared on the popular children’s TV show reading reschool viewers the story of The Dog Detectives: Lost In London.

Sir Elton told the story of The Dog Detectives who are cycling through the busy streets of London when they are called up to solve a new case.

Actor Tom Hardy caused ‘ovaries’ to explode all over the nation following his appearance on CBeebies for the Mother’s Day edition in 2017.

Tom has appeared twice on the children’s series, as he paid tribute to his late dog Woody who passed away. 

The star read the story of Fleabag, by Helen Stephens, on National Dog Day on August 26th.

The heart-warming story follows a friendship between a young boy and a scruffy dog, who needs a home, while the boy wants a pet pooch.

After both their longing, the two come across one another with drama and fun ensuing before Fleabag eventually finds the home he has been craving for.

More recent story readers include the Duchess of Cambridge, who narrated the modern children’s classic, The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, by Jill Tomlinson, to mark Children’s Mental Health Week.

And other famous faces to read a Bedtime Story including Ryan Reynolds, actor Chris Evans, Regé-Jean Page, Felicity Jones, David Schwimmer, Alesha Dixon, Eddie Redmayne, Reece Witherspoon and Dolly Parton.
