Hayden Brindle and Shaylee Cheal: Inside tradie’s lavish life with his glamorous girlfriend – before they were caught out in extraordinary steroid bust

Extraordinary photos have emerged of the lavish life lived by a tradesman and his girlfriend before they were busted for running a massive steroid and party drug importation ring.

Facing Gosford District Court on Friday, 30-year-old carpet layer, Hayden Brindle, was sentenced to three years and eight months in jail while his aged-care nurse girlfriend, Shaylee Cheal, 28, was sentenced to an intensive corrective order lasting two years and four months.

The pair had pleaded guilty of distributing large amounts of steroids to dozens of customers across New South Wales’ Central Coast in 2021 after their arrest in January of 2020.

Brindle was charged with a total of 26 offences, including supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, dealing with $57,000 worth of proceeds of crime, importing steroids and supplying drugs such as cocaine and ‘ice’.

His girlfriend was sentenced on seven offences, including importing drugs, two counts of supplying drugs on an ongoing basis and dealing with proceeds of crime.

Pictures obtained by Daily Mail Australia shows how Brindle showed off his flashy lifestyle and unexplained wealth on social media including a sports car, elaborate tattoos and luxury holidays.

After two years of negotiations and delays, both Brindle and Cheal settled on 29-pages of agreeable facts regarding their crimes.

According to the Central Coast Express Advocate, the couples scheme had been picked up on by the Australian Border Force after packages sent to their PO box were intercepted.

The packages shipped from overseas included steroids, human growth hormones and erectile dysfunction pills.

NSW Police were made aware of the packages and began to pay attention to the couples’ actions.

Despite this, the couple continued to send ‘price lists’ of up to 35 different steroids to their dozens of customers complete with bank details and delivery instructions.

They even continued to sell the steroids after masked intruders broke into their home stealing luxury handbags, steroids and cash.

Cheal, who was home alone at the time, suffered a broken wrist when she was struck with a baseball bat.

After the pair were arrested, police searched their home to find hundreds of boxes of steroids alongside 178 pills of MDMA stored under their stove.

During their sentencing on Friday, Judge Tanya Bright said that Brindle believed he was helping others by selling them steroids to aid their gym progress.

Judge Bright noted that despite being brought up in a loving household, Brindle had become addicted to cocaine and steroids and admitted to making a series of ‘bad decisions’.

Cheal had also said it was a ‘bad decision’ to start selling steroids after becoming hooked trying to compliment her ‘hard work’ in the gym.

Alongside their convictions, Brindle was also fined $5,400 and Cheal was fined $2,400.
