As Lionel Messi cried his eyes out in an emotional farewell press conference from Barcelona, football fans on social media were letting out tears of laughter as they contemplated the prospect of the Argentine ripping it up at Paris Saint-Germain.
In between his teary final outing as a Barcelona player, Messi admitted that joining PSG was a ‘possibility’ while French newspapers L’Equipe and Le Parisien are both reporting that a deal is imminent.
PSG may have lost last season’s Ligue 1 title to Lille but they are expected to promptly reclaim their crown after a busy summer signing Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and serial winner Sergio Ramos.

PSG have won seven out of the last nine titles and even though they had a poor last season, it is difficult to imagine anything else than them coasting to the French championship and making a serious assault on the Champions League.
