‘He looked painfully ill’: Dale Winton fans express their shock over his last ever TV appearance

Dale Winton fans said the star looked ‘like he was wasting away’ before he died two months ago. 

The Supermarket Sweep host appeared on Channel 5 last night for the second and final installment of Florida Fly Drive.

In it, the television presenter embarked on a 1,500-mile, month-long tour of the sunshine state. 

It became his last ever show for Channel 5.

Viewers were quick to remark on Winton looking ‘unwell’ through the programme, which was filmed before he died in April aged 62.

Paul Walker wrote: ‘Dear me. Poor #dalewinton didn’t look very well during the filming of #floridaflydrive – RIP Dale.’

The show featured a touching moment where Winton remembers his close friend and restaurateur Prady Balan, who died two years ago.

The former radio DJ, who visits Balans restaurant on Lincoln Road, reflects on his friend who he shared milestones with.

His funeral took place last month and was peppered with celebrity friends who came to pay tribute to him.  

Mr Winton’s white coffin, covered with a beautiful large display of white roses, was carried from a hearse into the venue, followed by members of his family.  

His cause of death is still unknown and a coroner is set to conduct an inquest. 

Friends said the star had suffered from depression before he passed away.
