An 8-year-old boy, who is wheelchair bound, scored a touchdown in a championship game for first- and second-graders in his Kansas hometown.

Karter Gardenhire, who cannot walk because he suffers from Spina Bifida, had help from players on his hometown team from Clearwater, and from kids on the opposing squad from nearby Newton in the November 2 skirmish.

A video of the proud moment shows little Karter as he entered the field with a fellow teammate pushing his wheelchair from behind.

She says afterwards that Karter couldn’t stop talking about the amazing play for days. 

She adds that the family had no idea both teams would help Karter become the star of the game.
