Heartbroken family members post last picture of American woman murdered in Canada

The family of an American woman murdered on a remote road in Canada with her boyfriend have posted a heartbreaking tribute to her.

Chynna Deese, 24, was driving to a cattle ranch in British Columbia with Australian boyfriend Lucas Fowler when they were mysteriously shot dead.

After her death was announced last week, Chynna’s sister Kennedy posted an emotional final tribute on Facebook – calling her ‘best friend’.

Kennedy also uploaded a picture of one of Chynna’s ‘last documented moments’ showing her running through a field in an unknown location with her arms spread wide.

‘My dearest sister this is one of your last documented moments, just radiating. You had big beautiful life plans, and they were cut short.

‘Instead of watching you enjoy your thriving life, I can only carry your legacy in mine, and encourage others to do the same.

‘I will miss you every moment. And love you forever, best friend.’

Chynna and Lucas’s bodies were found on the side of the road on Monday and local police believe they may have shot by a serial killer.

In a heartbreaking Facebook post, Ms Deese’s brother has told how he knew something was wrong when his sister did not answer his texts.

He said the day he found out she was murdered was ‘the most chaotic day of my life’.

Her brother – who uses the Facebook name British Dwayne – explained his sister travelled to Canada to visit Mr Fowler for the ‘branding of the cows’ at a ranch he worked in.

They were then due to travel the top half of the globe.

‘She’s is so deeply woven as a piece of my childhood and everyday life,’ he continued.

‘I am forever indebted to her for being such an amazing life companion and giving me so many reasons to smile.

‘Life throws curveballs and you made every one easier to handle. This is a curveball I did not expect. Losing you is going to hurt so much.’
