Ring video surveillance footage has captured when a UPS driver took it upon himself to hide the delivery of a child’s large gift to a home when no one was around by hiding the item behind some garbage cans.

The footage shows when the driver, Josh Satkin, arrived at the home with a large box containing the gift for a 4-year-old on Thursday.

Satkin, not knowing he’s being filmed and discovering no one home, decides then to conceal the box behind the garbage containers.

The child’s mom Megan Delaney, who received a notification when Satkin made the delivery, saw the driver on the footage arriving with the box and worried that when she returned home with her son that his surprise would be ruined, reports WABC.

But then to her amazement, the mom said she saw Satkin take the box and place it behind two garbage cans.

‘I’m like, yes, he saved Christmas’, she said.’ He covered it’.

The driver, when he next saw the Delaneys, said he didn’t want Christmas spoiled for the child.

He also told News 12 that he hopes his family’s driver would do the same.

UPS released a statement saying that it trains drivers to ensure they conceal deliveries when no one is home to receive them, especially in when it requires a level of ‘creativity’ for the holidays.
