Heather Rae El Moussa has fully embraced motherhood and updated her fans by sharing a cute snap on her Instagram story on Friday while nursing newborn son, Tristan Jay.
The Selling Sunset star, 35, and Flip or Flop alum, Tarek El Moussa, 41, welcomed their first child together late last month on January 31.
The real estate agent revealed the special meaning behind her son’s name earlier Wednesday on the social media outlet, while also recalling her ‘scary’ birth story in a detailed caption.
The two reality stars tied the knot in 2021, and the blonde beauty became stepmother to her husband’s two children, Taylor, 12, and Brayden, 7, whom he shares with ex-wife, Christina Hall.
In the latest photo she uploaded, Heather could be seen lounging on what appeared to be a comfy bed and sent a small smile towards the camera with her son propped up on top of her.

In a short message in the upper right corner, the star wrote, ‘Life these days,’ followed by a white heart emoji.
The TV personality further added, ‘I had 2 more minutes of the interview left and baby boy was crying ready to eat. Perfect timing Tristan, now he’s full & happy,’ and concluded with a sleepy face emoji.
Earlier Wednesday, Heather explained to her 3 million followers the special meaning behind her son’s moniker while sharing a few snaps taken as she rested in a hospital bed with her husband and newborn close to her.
The reality star told her fans that Tarek was originally supposed to be named Tristan, which became their son’s first name, and Jay was her father’s middle name.
She also detailed her birth experience, and admitted that there were, ‘some scary moments leading up to him entering the world.’
The talented beauty recalled that she had been at her final doctor’s appointment and was rushed to the hospital, ‘to get monitored because Tristan‘s movements had slowed down. I was 4 days past his due date.’
‘Here is a little fast version of the birth story: I had scar tissue built up from a biopsy I had years ago, which affected my cervix softening & water breaking.’
‘Once at the hospital I was given 1/2 a pill of Cytotec to soften cervix, balloon went in. 2 hours later I was dilated to a 4.’

‘Balloon fell out, then 3 hours later dilated to a 6, then a few minutes an 8 then 15 minutes later my water broke! It was time to push!! it all happened really fast.’
‘Tristan’s heart rate was dropping very low every time I’d push & was staying low. Which was terrifying.’
‘My doctor told me that we had to get him out right away. I had 4 more pushes and to give it my all & she was going to use a vacuum to help get him out fast or otherwise we would have to do an emergency C-section.’
‘Tarek was on my right holding my hand talking me through everything. I pushed so hard all the blood vessels broke in my face and chest,’ and soon their, ‘baby boy came out healthy and beautiful, I was in a state of shock it was a surreal experience. I was emotional and drained & so in love already.’
During a joint interview with Us Weekly earlier this month, the happy couple opened up about welcoming their first child together.

‘I knew it was happening, but … it was like a feeling that I didn’t even know [could happen]. And it was just such a beautiful thing.’
Heather, who had already become stepmother to Tarek’s two children from his previous marriage, expressed, ‘Having my own and carrying him and then going through the labor…it’s just such a beautiful thing hat the female body can do.’
The two lovebirds announced that they were expecting baby number one last year in July 2022, and explained to People at the time that the discovery had come as ‘a huge shock.’
Heather and Tarek, who had said ‘I do’ in October 2021, had tried IVF and were planning on transferring an embryo when they surprisingly found out that they were pregnant.
‘I think when you least expect it and there’s no stress in your life, the world just brought us what was meant to be. I’m so excited that it happened like this,’ the Selling Sunset star explained.

The first episode during the series premiere will showcase the talented duo working on a stunning home in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles.
