Europe’s largest airport had its busiest day ever when 269,000 travellers passed through on August 18.

Taylor Swift concerts brought in an additional 40,000 passengers this summer, with fans attending the European leg of her Eras tour.
August was a fourth consecutive month of record numbers, as 30m people are set to have used the airport between June and September.
‘For the past four months we have broken several records, demonstrating our ability to open a world of opportunity for more people, cargo, business and the UK economy,’ said chief executive Thomas Woldbye.
