Heavily pregnant Megan McKenna has shared her devastation at leaving her dog Daisy behind after packing up her life and making a last-minute shock move to Germany with her fiancé Oliver Burke.
The former TOWIE star, 31, who is expecting her first child with the footballer, 27, also revealed that her birth location in the UK was supposed to be St Mary’s The Lindo wing – where Kate Middleton’s babies were delivered.
Last week Megan, who is currently eight months pregnant, dropped the bombshell news that she would be moving abroad and leaving the UK as she nears her due date for Oliver’s job, because she wanted to experience these special moments with Oliver.
On Tuesday, she has shared her first update with fans since making the big move, answering her 2.9 million followers burning questions in a candid Instagram reel.
Megan filmed another one of her food videos, this time whipping up a fish and tartare sauce gluten free sandwich with ingredients she picked up from the farm shops in her new local area.

Addressing her fans, she explained: ‘The reason why we’ve moved to Germany – Olly was actually already in Germany. Olly’s signed to a German football team [Werder Bremen] and I was originally going to give birth in the UK and come here after.
‘But it was just all too stressful, you know, I obviously really want to be here with Olly so we can experience this together and obviously we want to have the baby together.’
The Scotsman plays as a right winger or forward for the football team, German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
Megan revealed that they had to ‘move hospitals very last minute’ and it was ‘crazy’ and ‘all a bit of a rush’.
The original plan was for Olly to fly back in time for her due date. However, Megan was worried that her partner would miss the birth of their baby.
She then moved on to another question that she’s been inundated with since announcing her plans to move abroad – whether her dog Daisy would be coming with her.
Megan said: You guys ask me a lot: where is Daisy? Is she coming over here?
‘Daisy can’t travel, she can’t travel far. She suffers with really bad arthritis and she’s been having treatment, these injections, back in the UK.

‘My mum has her, my family look after he. She is my baby, but I’m obviously going to be coming back and forth to the UK.
‘We are actually going to be having a UK home so we’ll be coming back and forth because obviously a lot of my work is in the UK. But this is my full-time home now in Germany.’
The former TOWIE star gushed: ‘I wish I could bring Daisy here with me. I wish she could just be chilling with me but she can’t – she can’t fly, she can’t travel by car, it’s just all too traumatic for her.
‘She’s sixteen years old, she’s going blind bless her. So she knows her way around my mum’s house and the last year she has been staying there. I can’t be selfish now and have her with me.
‘I wish I could be selfish but I need to think of her feelings. I hope that’s answered your questions about Daisy because I know you message all the time and I haven’t mentioned anything.’
She went on to admit that she had ‘a really big cry’ about leaving the pooch behind before she left her mother’s house to make the move.
Megan also expressed her sadness at not getting to give birth where she originally planned – St Mary’s The Lindo wing.
She shared a new image to her grid on Wednesday, which featured her stood outside the wing, cradling her growing bump.

Megan looked naturally beautiful in the snap as she put on a casual display in a nude loungewear set and black sandals.
She smiled with excitement as she showcased her bump, standing on the steps of the maternity wing, in a similar way to the iconic snaps of the Princess of Wales.
In her caption, Megan quipped: ‘I know a lot of you wanted to know where I was originally giving birth.. I had chosen St Mary’s The Lindo wing.
‘I had to pose on the steps where Kate Middleton had her beautiful royal babies! I’ve always dreamed of giving birth here and the midwives were so lovely for my short time being there.’
The TV star joked: ‘I’d prefer a frankfurter after birth than afternoon tea anyway. This photo was supposed to be a swipe for after the baby arrived… But on the other hand we have been to our new German hospital and absolutely love it.
‘The facilities are amazing and a lot of doctors speak English! I know a lot of you have been worried about me giving birth in a different country but I feel good and safe and my mum is flying over to be here with me.
‘Thankyou for all your messages and tips. I love my Insta family. The count down begins….’

She added: ‘I know I did some stories yesterday about packing. And I think I few of you thought I was going into labour but no lets hope I don’t go into labour because I am now giving birth in Germany.
‘I know a few of you guys have been like ‘Where’s Olly?’ Olly is in Germany and all our stuff has been in storage for a couple of months.
‘A bit crazy that I’m moving countries. I’m actually excited, like it’s obviously going to be a big change.’
She continued: ‘I’ve gone and got all my gluten free bits. I’ve been washing the baby bits, like obviously I took some bits out and I’ve packed an emergency baby bag, just in case like god forbid I go into early labour or something.
‘How funny is this, I actually took Germany in school, I actually chose German over Spanish but I actually don’t know anything in German. I actually don’t know how to speak German.’
Oliver penned a sweet message under Megan’s video and wrote: ‘Can’t wait to see you❤️’
