An internet-famous cat was far from impressed when he first met a Dyson vacuum cleaner and ended up serving it a few slaps with his fluffy white paws.
Salty the Sea Cat, 4, who lives on a yacht in Scotland, is used to a peaceful existence watching dolphins. But this became threatened when a vacuum cleaner came storming over.
In the hilarious clip, Salty starts trotting backwards as the home gadget lets out a piercing noise.
A Dyson vacuum cleaner landed a few slaps by Salty the Sea Cat who was far from impressed when one of his owner’s pulled out the hoover on July 5
The owner then drops it on the floor and the kitty slowly edges closer and tilts his head before sniffing it.
As the hoover is lifted, he jolts backwards and lets out a hiss, on July 5.
He flashes his sharp teeth to show how he feels threatened before licking his lips.
Salty decides whether he likes the hoover in a matter of seconds (from left to right) and draws his teeth
The beloved pet, who lives with his owner’s and a Springer Spaniel called Pippa, seemed tender and gentle trying to sniff the hoover. He was curious to figure out what was going on after the machine let out a huge shriek
Serving a hefty blow to the hoover, he hisses and then rests on his back-legs as though he is ready for a fight.
Within seconds, the Turkish Van Cat whacks the Dyson with a loud thud of his paw.
Salty shared the encounter on Twitter and immediately showed his following that he will never be made to feel powerless by ‘certain household appliances’.
His owner’s said he gave the hoover a ‘damn good thrashing’ and received 1.6k likes.
They then posted another clip of their beloved pet pawing the hoover which had been put out of reach on a table.
The video was captioned: ‘Salty is sometimes Badass ! & does try to duff up certain household appliances. He is neither terrified nor poorly treated & anyone who posts unkind stuff can fluff off.’
People were quick to show their solidarity with the internet-famous cat.
Gail K. Carangelo wrote: ‘Salty Sea Cat means business! Hisses and slaps is what I do to my vacuum too.’
Fiorella added: ‘Swat it hard. Beastly thing.’
The kitty spends most of his time on-board a sailing boat his owner’s Bernadette and Andy, as well as Pippa the Springer Spaniel.
They list Linnhe, Dunstaffnage, Craobh and Melfort in Scotland as their winter destinations, according to Scottish Field.
