Fears multiple people are dead as horrified witnesses see helicopters ‘collide’ just outside of Seaworld before careening onto sandbank

  • The aircraft landed on a sandbank, with police and ambulance at the scene

Grave fears are held for people inside two helicopters which reportedly collided mid-air before crashing onto a sandbank in the Gold Coast.

The crash occurred near the Broadwater close to Sea World theme park at around 2pm on Monday.

Several police and ambulance crews are at the sandbank.
